Welcoming Evie

Photos are so much more than pretty pictures, but instead a way of freezing time, capturing fleeting moments so we can hold onto them forever.
I love knowing that all the little babies I have photographed will have these photos to look back on when they are all grown up, so they can see what their arrival meant to their families. How much love they were born into.
And on that note –Evie Faith is the precious new member of this awesome family of three. Evie was born at home into the hands of her beautiful Mum, and with her Dad’s dark eyes.
Welcome earth side little one, you are surrounded by so much love. Thanks to Tristin & Shenaed for welcoming me into their home to capture these precious images.

Emma & Brayden - Beloved Session

“There is only one life before us, and our seasons will be long and good.” Apache Wedding Blessing

Emma & Brayden – Two gorgeous humans who have decided to spend forever together, captured in their little bubble of love.

You can see a mile away these two have such a big, natural love between them.
I had such a great time hanging out with Emma & Brayden so we could get some loved up photos before their engagement party. And I am so excited to capture their Bali wedding later this year, I have no doubt it’s going to be epic!

Thank you for getting me to document this next big step in your beautiful love story, you two are going to have a beautiful life together.

Welcoming Thea

I was lucky enough to spend some time photographing Nikki & Rhys & their brand new creation, the treasured miss Thea.

I loved the time I spent with this little family. We know so many people in common it was like we’d met before.

Thank you rain gods for staying away so we could get some sunshine filled outdoors photos too. I really love the photos of baby Thea being held safely in her Dad’s arms, such a big fierce love captured.

Check out some photos from their love-filled session below.

The Lowe Family Session

“The only rock I know that stays steady, the only institution I know that works is family.” ~Lee Iacocca

When I look back at photos I’ve taken I’m not looking for perfection, I’m looking for authenticity. Captured moments, not constructed scenes. I want to take photos of the beautiful, wild chaos that exists in every family. And I am always so grateful when families trust me to do this.

So thank you Lowe family for letting me hang out with you for a morning, and capture you as you really are. When I think of brothers Archie & Hugo, I think of wild hair, cheeky grins and lots of brother wrestling <3

Here are some photos from their session.

“A wedding does not depend on flowers or bells or candles, choirs or lace. It does not need a great congregation or a vast marquee. Only two people taking the courage to leave one life and find another – trusting each other for true patience and love, to face any hardship that the years may bring.” Pam Brown

I feel like these words perfectly sum up how I feel about Jamie & Wesley’s wedding day. It was all about celebrating their love and being surrounded by the people who love them most. Full of all the things that a wedding should be. Lots of heart swelling moments and tears shed (yes even some by me). Thank you Mr & Mrs Vanderwesthuizen for a day I’ll never forget.

Here are some captures from this wonderful celebration, yes there are a lot, but they all tell the story of this amazing day
